My Review

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.   Eddie Santiago had a really difficult childhood.  Being bullied and harassed because he was different.  He spends a long time watching his mother suffering in pain, and hating God for his circumstances.  This is an amazing supernatural story of his journey, finding his faith and learning that God really does care.  It was beautifully written and I cried many times over reading it, so be sure to have Kleenex handy.

I was so moved by this book.  I could relate to so much of what he went through.  Children can be really mean to someone just because they are different.  Then you pray and wonder if He’s listening, after all He’s God, doesn’t he have bigger problems to deal with?  Eddie may have hated God at some point, but God always had his angels watching over him.  This book shows how Eddie grew spiritually and continues to grow, reaching out to others.  Thank you, Mr. Santiago, for sharing your story with me.  I hope many are blessed by it and their faith renewed.

  

About the Author

Eddie David Santiago has worked in the mental health/substance abuse field since he was 18 years old.  He holds bachelor degrees in both psychology and religious studies and has provided counseling related services for multiple mental health, substance abuse and human service agencies.  In addition, he earned his master’s degree in counseling along with certification in educational administration.

With over fifteen years of counseling related experience, Eddie founded the organization L.E.A.D. (Love Endures And Delivers) which offers interactive group trainings, seminar sessions, speaking opportunities for groups of all ages and crisis counseling sessions.

THROUGH THE VALLEY, LOVE ENDURES is based on Eddie’s early collection of writings, through which he found his voice.  He seeks to inspire others to find their voice and share their own stories.
Eddie resides in the Midwest with his beautiful wife Sarah and their three amazing children, Faith, Isaiah and Makaylah.
